Impact of Globalization on Current Community †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Impact of Globalization on Current Community and Social Action Considering the Implications of Corporate Globalization and Its Effect on Working People Answer: The term globalization denotes the free and worldwide movement of the civilization towards the integration. Globalization entails the integration of the labor and economy and the free transfer of the goods, capital and the service from a narrower perspective into the broader perspective (Beck 2015). The globalization has influenced the current community and the social work greatly. There are both negative and positive effect on the community and the social action of the globalization. Though the effect of the globalization has projected its effect on the international context, but the developing countries like China, India and the underdeveloped countries like Lebanon, Africa, Syria and others are mostly impacted by the globalization. The chosen country for the essay is India. Therefore, the essay focuses on the community issues of India and the social action in the same context. The impact of the globalization is on the various aspect of the country such as the economical and trading process field, health and education system and the culture effect (Weil, Reisch and Ohmer 2013). Several issues have emerged from the impact of globalization, which are further categorized in specific issue, maintenance issue, long range issue and so on (Communitybuilding. 2017). The culture and various communities of India are assumed to be majorly impacted by the globalization. For example, the NeoBuddhist community of India is considered to be mostly affected by the globalization policies. The social status, educational and occupational context, style and the economical basis of the community are presumed to be affected by the globalization (shodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in. 2017). India being one of the developing countries in the worlds is severely and deeply effected by the globalization. India and China are considered as the living place of majority of the poor in the world. The globalization has been both a boon and a curse to the communities living in these two countries. The tribal communities of India are privileged by the globalization as well as affected by the same. The globalization has developed their community standards and provided them with the opportunities of employment. Again, the people of the community as well as their values and native practice are affected by the globalization. The social action denotes the movement of the civilization or a group of people towards the change in the community as well as in the broader context of the society. In another view by Dominelli, the social actions are the responses to the negative impact of the globalization on the environment and community (Androff, Fike and Rorke 2017). The significance of the social action is always high because it is the introduction of the new changing ideas for the betterment of the society. The globalization itself is the process of social action, as this is the free change towards the integration and the upliftment of the economical and the social status of the society as well as the communities presented in the same. The change in the social action in due to the globalization is apparent. The concepts of the social action have been shifted from the same of the past two decades. The classical action or the movements on the social issues have developed a paradigmatic change due to the globali zation and the smaller action on the social issues is seen (Fominaya 2014). Community practice is one of the social actions that are to be discussed in this essay paper. The social action based on the community issues has been changed. Several difficulties has been apparent in the social action due to the impact of globalization on the communities. Apart from the community based social actions, the social action also refers to the social work and the issues of emerging from the society. The shifting of the classical social movement has given birth to the empowerment of the women in the workplace in India which is again a direct impact of the globalization on the current community and society. There are several theories that can be related to the social action. The first theory is the Webers theory of social action that focuses on the rationalization of the process that the societies are undergoing. This particular theory on the social action can be referred to the impact of the globalization on the social action. In the theory, social action entails the influence of the present, past or the future and presupposes individual or communal existence (Arnaldi and Bianchi 2016). Therefore, the theory of Weber can be connected to the social action that is impacted by the globalization. Another theory on the social action is the Marx theory of conflict, which signifies the conflicts among the social actions due to the past dominant ideas. The Fissueglobalization has impacted on the historical dominant ideas and the social action are based on the new ideas which creates conflict with the former (Alexander 2014). There is another theory on social action by the Durkheim that concentrates on the specialization of the social class and the interdependence. The approach of this theory is diverse from the previous theories and implies the social harmony rather than conflict. The theory is also call functionalism as it focuses on the functions of the of the social phenomenon in producing social cohesion (Brooklynsoc.org. 2017). The term corporate globalization refers to the economic globalization in the industries as well s in the workplace. The globalization has shifted the economical structure of the developing countries. The international trade structure has also changed due to the globalization. The implication of the corporate globalization indicates the replacement of the raw materials in the trade, which can affect the balance of payments for the trade by the developing countries. In other hand, the replacement of the unqualified labor with the automated process can provide competitive advantage to the industries of the developing countries (Www1.aucegypt.edu. 2017). The corporate globalization also implies some effects on the working people of the developing countries. The employees of the organization are constantly under the pressure of change issue in the organizational environment, such as working conditions, new work plants, job insecurities and others (Community. 2017). The working people are both benefitted and affected by the globalization. The beneficial aspect of the globalization is the rise of the women in the workplace and more job opportunities for the people from every class and qualification (Razavi et al. 2012). Again, the negative impact shows that the implementation of the automated process has reduced the demand for labor in the workplace. The entire essay is the reflection of the impact of the globalization on the community and the social action. Moreover, the essay goes on depicting the implications and effect of the corporate globalization on the working people. However, it is evident from the above discourse that the globalization definitely has a good impact in the international context, but the developing countries like China, India and others are majorly impacted by the sane. The theories presented in the essay imply the effect of the globalization on the social actions and on the current community. The central focus being on Indian context globalization presents a clear idea of what the topic is trying to project.
